Fox News!

The news is... there isn't any!! This is the last photo which I took last week, you can just see one of them in the top left corner of the lawn. You can see my reflection in the window ( I was in my dressing gown as it was early last Wednesday). My hubby saw one when he got up on Friday but only fleetingly and he saw one jump next door's fence on Sunday while he was mowing the lawn. Unfortunately we haven't seen them around the garden. Either they've moved at last or they're getting in before us these summer mornings and getting up later in the evening when it's dark. A dog bone appeared and disappeared in the garden so maybe we're just missing them. Our neighbours have done a little digging in their garden so perhaps that's scared them away.

Watch this space!!

A Baby Word Card (My First)!

A friend of mine at work has just become a Grandmother so I knocked up this card for her last night. The gingham paper was a free download from: http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/

I made the template using word art. It was decorated with various Sizzix baby diecuts, buttons and a couple of flowers from Poppicrafts.

Our lovely (well we think so) Son Matt!

Managed to get a rare snap of my lad Matt while he was home for the weekend. Tried to get him to smile but that's not 'cool' apparently. Any pic is better than none and this is the most recent we have. Won't see him for a few weeks as he's back in London.

Happy Hopper Birthday.

I made this card for my daughter's friend, Charlotte. The image is a Happy Hopper stamp from Stampabilities called 'Rabbits of the Round Table'. I used Promarkers and was pleased with the results as I normally watercolour these images. They are so easy to colour, perfect for a beginner as all the detail is in the stamp itself. Blueberry Hill paper as before, I just adore it and will have to get another pad soon! Poppicrafts flower, Papermania Retro brad and Papermania free sentiment stamp (I have really found this useful) complete the card.

Miss Anja - Good Luck!

This is a simple card, as I was in a rush, using a Miss Anja stamp which I coloured with Promarkers and glazed (the bag). The paper is again Blueberry Hill from Papermania, ribbon from Hobbycrafts, Martha Stewart butterfly punch and a flower I got from somewhere!!

Fox News 17th June!

Didn't see them at all this morning but around 9ock tonight two appeared and chased around the yew hedge like mad things, round and round about six times! Grabbed the camera but they saw me and disappeared round the back again! The little one popped out later but it was too dark for a photo. Was hoping they'd gone as they weren't out at breakfast but they must have been up before me this morning!

Fox News Tuesday 16th - daily update - Shock Horror!!

Got up this morning (Tuesday 16th) to find that there were now three foxes in the garden!! I think Mum has been courting during the night and has brought 'him' home to view her des res!!!! We are panicking now as we don't want any more!! I forgot to ring the RSPCA today but must really try to do it before we get every fox in the city here!! The new one was quite a lot larger than the other two. I don't think the Mum is all that old herself. Talk about 'fairies' at the bottom of the garden!! lol I've never had so many photos of foxes!!

Fox News -part 1 (not CNN or Sky!!) Monday 15th.

Anyone for golf?!

This is what they were up to this morning. I thought she was going to eat the golf ball but she put it back down again. We're beginning to worry about the garden now! Checked the little pond and found two frogs in it so hoping they're good at camouflage. Still haven't seen the foxes in the shrub at the top of the garden when I've been up there but reckon that's where they are during the day as they are appearing regularly every night and morning now. I'm a bit loath to poke around, screamed like mad last week when a frog hopped out of the border I was trimming!! Wuss!!

Some Random Garden Pics!

Not the only foxes in my garden!

We have foxgloves growing everywhere this year.
They are so beautiful.
Bees eye view!!

As it is such a lovely day today, I thought I'd have a play with my camera.

What do you think?

Honeypot Crafts June Challenge!

Here's my card for Phill's first challenge. I used:
PB Stamp - Roses for You
DCWV Mat stack Brights
Papermania Blueberry Hill paper - don't you just love it!
Papermania Retro Brads
Ribbon from Poppicrafts
Glossy Accents
Martha Stewart Monarch Punch. (added glitter)
Sentiment free from Creativity Magazine
We couldn't use a die cutter so I cut round my mats with scallop scissors, can't you tell!!
Thanks for looking!

First Tri - Fold Shutter Card.

This is my first attempt at this type of card. I used A4 card so had to jiggle (that means guess!) the measurements a bit. I used my cuttlebug folders for the background and some Brenda Pinnick paper. The images and sentiments are Fairy Doodle stamps coloured with Promarkers and glittered.

This Is What I Saw This Morning!

Hanging out by the pond!
Ooo here's a frog!
That was tasty!
Wonder if I can sneak up on Mum! Hi Mum!

They are still appearing on a regular basis and were stalking around the garden this morning when me and hubby got up for work. Little blighters nicked a frog from the pond and ate it between them - perhaps they're French foxes (frogs legs for breakfast!). The mum had a bird as well earlier. It's so sad to see that but I suppose that's how nature works. I think I may call the RSPCA soon and see what they advise. We don't put any food scraps out as we're hoping they'll move on soon and we don't want to encourage them.

Our Foxy Visitor is Growing Up Fast!!

This is what I saw at the top of my garden when I came home for my dinner on Tuesday this week ( I have lunch at home each day as I live quite close to school)!
