DC March Friendship Swap.

Sorry about the glare from the acetate.
Close up of the stamped design.

I've had a play this month and come up with this easel card which is winging its way to Dianed. I've got a new camera too but I think the photos are the same as usual!!

I started with a stamp from the 'Lavender' themeplate designed by Sheena Douglas for Creative Expressions. I coloured this with Promarkers. I then restamped the image in black Stazon onto acetate and fixed this ontop of the main image with brads. The large lavender stalks were glittered with Crystal Stickles but I'm going to get some purple ones next time as they came out green! The sentiment is a cuttlebug die, flowers (aren't they just to die for, especially the little ones) from Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls and ribbon finish it off. I was pleased with this one - I do like to make cards that are different from the norm and that take just that little bit more effort. I think that's why I don't make that many these days!!

Charity Mother's Day Cards.

I've made 11 cards today for my school to use to raise funds for McMillan. They are basically the same design in different layouts. I made my own sentiment strips on the computer. You should (or maybe not!) see the mess I've made on the dining room table - off to clear up soon!

Charity Cards.

Here's some more pics of my charity cards. I must admit they came out better (the cards) than I thought they would!

My Library Competition.

I've had a competition running in the school library throughout February. I didn't think of the photo idea myself but did come up with using it for Valentine's Day. It's been very popular with both children and staff! I may have made it a little too hard as even I had trouble guessing who was who and I took them!! lol I added some clues after a couple of weeks!!

Guess Who?

Hi all, it's that time of the year again, yes, World Book Day 2010. Doesn't seem a year since I was doing this last time. Well have you guessed yet - it involves chocolate!! I thought as I had a purple jacket and it meant I could have chocolate that I'd go as .... Willy Wonka .... this year! Quite easy to put together, hat, cane and sunglasses and a waistcoat from ebay for 99p (what a bargain, it's covered with pearls and beads!!) Anyway here I am in the staffroom at the start of the day when I had a 'whole' bar of chocolate (it got shared out at the end of the day with the kids!!) A great day though, all the staff dressed up again this year and the variety of kids costumes were amazing. Only sorry that I can't really put them on here. Now... ideas for next year anyone?!!! :)
